   I'm sorry I had some troubles with the size/quality of the first photos.

   Nous ne sommes pas allées plus loin que Vintimille, la première ville après la frontière italienne (voyage en train oblige), mais ce fut très agréable d'entendre parler l'italien en vrai (c'était à vrai dire la première fois pour moi), de profiter de la mer calme et splendide, de la plage de galets puis de nous régaler d'une immense pizza accompagnée de vin blanc... Des amis italiens nous ont ensuite rejoint pour finir la soirée en beauté... et je ne dirai rien de plus ! ;) 

Maintenant j'ai vraiment hâte de découvrir l'Italie, la vraie, avec ses vestiges de l'antiquité, sa douceur de vivre et surtout: sa gastronomie !  

   We went not further than Vintimille, the first italian city after France, but it was quite pleasant to hear italian speaking, enjoy of the magnificent sea and the shingle beach, then treat ourselves with a delicious giant pizza and white wine... 

We finally went home with some italian boys, after taking some shots of Monaco by night and dancing on the beach. It was a fabulous day/night and I will tell nothing more than that ;)

 Now I'm eager to discover the true Italia (Roma, Milano, Florence...) one of these days !

We spent our whole week singing this song as in 2008. 
I love it so much.

   J'ai donc découvert Monaco. Du peu que j'ai vu, ce n'était pas une ville particulièrement charmante dans son aspect: trop d'immeubles entassés, une architecture assez banale et triste... cependant je suis sûre que j'ai raté de jolis coins à découvrir, comme dans toutes les villes que l'on visite trop rapidement.

 Au final, nous avons testé l'happy hour d'un bar vitré qui donnait vue sur le port. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les assiettes d'amuses-bouche qu'on nous a gracieusement offertes à trois reprises -peut-être ont-ils eut peur que les cocktails nous émèchent trop rapidement... à moins que ce ne soit le décolleté de Laura, hehe ;)

   So I went to Monaco for the first time, and from what I saw, it wasn't such a beautiful city, probably because of all the buildings and the quite uninteresting architecture... Nevertheless, I'm sure I've missed some nice places - just like any city you visit too quickly.

In the end we decided to enjoy the happy hour in a cool bar where the waiters gave us "amuse-bouche" for free, as if they were fearing the effect of alcohol on Laura and me, haha.

We were starving, then yes, it was very nice of them ! ;)

Where All The Rich People Stand

   Ce jour-là nous avions décidé de longer la baie afin d'aller déjeuner au bord de l'eau et profiter du soleil. Nous sommes donc parties pour quatre heures de marche, avec tout de même quelques pauses photos tout au long de notre promenade ;) 

C'était vraiment une très belle après-midi, malgré notre pique-nique un peu raté: les tomates et la mozzarella en pleine chaleur... ça fait de la soupe !

   On the Sunday we decided to go for a walk along the bay, to have a picnic on the beach and enjoy the sun and the sea. We went for four hours of walk - there were such beautiful landscapes, and it was a wonderful afternoon even though our tomato-mozzarella paninis turned to a soup because of the heat...
